MPS Challenge #7 - "Hey Dad!" (Dad, don't look!)

My Dad, like me, loves snacks and treats.  I made him this box and will fill it with some goodies to give him as an early father's day present when we go up to visit.  Did I say how much fun I have using my scoring board?  Well, I do.  It is so satisfying to fold a scored line.  Seriously!  :D  One thing I learned on this project was that Thickers ABC letters don't stick very well to glitter paper.  A little ATG did the trick, however!

MPS Challenge #6 - "Kids Craft, Too"

Being that I did these challenges while the kids were at school, I chose to do a project for a child, instead of with a child.  I recently purchased 8x8 albums but haven't made any pages that size yet.  So, this is my first page.  It is for my daughter's album:

MPS Challenge #5 - "Teacher Appreciation Days"

This is teacher appreciation week.  I thought the easiest was to show appreciation was a thank you card.  So, here is my card for the challenge.  (I made 3 more just like it for all the teachers.)

MPS Challenge #4 - "I Like You the Least"

This challenge was to use a cricut cartridge that I don't like or never use.  For me it was Printing Press (which I ended up using twice tonight!)  This is a vinyl cut for my white board.  I learned a valuable lesson...always use the transfer tape.  (If you look close you can see tears and wrinkles in the vinyl.)  Oh well, it's just for me to look an and not anyone else.  I can live with it!  

MPS challenge #3: Thinking outside the box

For this challenge we were to use something new or different on our projects.  I recently bought this super cute green swirly packing tape at Michaels.  If you know me, I love green and I love swirls, so this was a match made in heaven!  So, here is my packing tape card:

MPS challenge #2: Getting scrappy

This challenge was easy.  The requirement was to use some scraps.  I made this album with all the paper scraps left over from challenge #1.  I scored and bound the pages with the brads.  It makes a super cute mini album!

My Pink Stamper challenge #1: "Mother Dear I love you so" (Mom...don't look!)

I decided to try out the 12 challenges Robin, aka My Pink Stamper, posed this weekend for National Scrapbook day.  The first theme was "Mother, dear, I love you so."  My mom has always loved these photo boxes, and today I finally got around to making her one.  I'm going up to visit her soon to help her organize her photos...we'll choose some photos together to put in here.  Here it is:

The pages act as the walls of the box and the lid goes on top.  Super fun project, especially now that I have a scoring board! (I have the Martha Stewart one and I'm loving it!!)
